[Sold]Vacheron Constantin, Very Rare 18k Yellow Gold Calatrava Ref. 4906

A lovely self-winding ref. 4906, with very rare dial configuration.

Case: 35 mm Spillman scewback case, case no. 361,697, caseback with watchmaker marks, as well as engraving that reads, "To My Right Arm, H.L. Hill, From W.A. McLean 12-25-59"

Dial: opaline dial, engraved enamel signature, applied faceted hour markers

Movement: Vacheron Constantin caliber 1019/2, self-winding, 21 jewels,

Bracelet: leather strap,

Condition: watch is in good condition. Case with scratches throughout, see photos. Crystal also has scratches, however dial is in very good condition - overall profile of enamel signature is well preserved, even, and presents consistently with condition indicators intact(E acent, & symbol, etc.). There does seem to be a spec just around the 2 o' clock marker, however. Inner caseback with a few watchmaker marks, and edge of caseback appears to have slight marring from an inexperienced watchmaker assuming it was a snap back(wasn't me!). Movement in good condition, some wear to the screws, and there is some loss to the nickel plating of the bridges. The wear is radial, so it's safe to assume it was from the rotor having too much slack at some point in the watch's life. Movement runs at time of listing. Service history is unknown and timekeeping is not measured/guaranteed. Servicing is recommended.
